What I have learnt

What I have learnt: 1. I learnt how to change border colours and sizes using HTML. 2. I've learnt how to embed slides into blogger. 3. I've learnt more on how to use blogger.

Example: 1. 2. 3. Now I can use the website easily without having to ask for help all the time.

Why is this useful?: 1. This is useful because now I can use it to make my blog more interesting. 2. This is useful because I can easily share my work that i have done. 3. This is useful because now I can get more work done due to not having at stop all the time and ask for help.

Hero's Quest- Harry Potter

In English with Mr McCartney we have been learning about the hero's quest which is in most movies that have a hero in them. The stages i decided to write about are...

Refusal to the call- The hero does not feel worthy, or does not want to leave the ordinary world.

Threshold crossing - The hero moves from the ordinary world to the fantastic world.

Test, allies, enemies and (shadow self).

Meeting the mentor- A wise person or creature.

The Reward- The hero receives or achieves what they where looking for.

I enjoyed working on this because I enjoyed looking into more depth at the stages Harry went through and recognising those stages.

I learnt about how in most stories they have a hero's quest that follows most of these parts.

NeverEnding Story

NeverEnding Story Highlights, By Charli, Kaleb and Jordan.

In our Year 9 English class with Mr McCartney we have been learning about The NeverEnding Story and the stages of the two hero's quests. I worked with Kaleb and Jordan to write about some scenes from the movie, we also added 8-11 second clips of the scene we were using as an example for the stage of the quest. My favourite part about this task was working with my friends to share ideas and tell our thoughts on the movie.
